In an imposing Georgian mansion on Newbury Street, Louis Boston is a local institution with international import. With only four floors, the store is small and carefully considered. The first floor stocks a quirky collection of housewares; the second is where businessmen order bespoke suits; the third, where their sons pick up artfully distressed denim; and the fourth, where edgy types buy avant-garde party dresses by Akris and self-consciously casual pieces by Marni. Every item in the store has been hand-picked by Debi Greenberg, Louis's third-generation owner.
