A Hong Kong institution for more than a century, this homegrown department store is still one of the city’s major shopping destinations. The clothing, luxury cosmetics, and classy houseware brands carried here are more or less what you’ll find in the city’s high-end malls—but they’re all under one roof here, and what a roof it is. Local starchitects Yabu Pushelberg recently revamped the 80,000-square-foot space with cutting-edge design, incorporating wide walkways, glass, and modern art installations. This is swank shopping as it should be.
