Despite its minimalist décor, there’s a warm-and-fuzzy feeling about this eco-chic women’s wear shop (the warm greeting you’ll get from both the shopkeepers and the resident foster cat help). The best established and emerging “green” designers are represented here, those who are reinventing the image of sustainable fashion: hand-loomed wrap sweaters by Souchi, hip organic cotton dresses by John Patrick Organic, chinos and denims by Loomstate, and tunics and flirty tops by Loyale.
Tip: Madrona’s a bit off the beaten path, but Juniper is in the middle of a mini shopping and dining district. Stop for a quiet coffee and snack at Cupcake Royale and Vérité Coffee (1101 34th Avenue; 206-709-4497; veritecoffee.com) next door.
