Named for owner Anthony Andler’s great-grandfather (a tailor and 1917 Russian immigrant), Heimie’s is the sort of men’s clothing store you may have thought extinct. Andler and his haberdashers give their utmost attention to customers, whether you’re looking for something off the rack or a tailor-made suit—which takes three to five weeks and is sewn from elegant English and Italian fabrics. Bring the look together with Bailey’s bowler hats and Stetson fedoras, cuff links, pocket watches, and belts. In need of a trim?Consult “Moustache Jim” (who is unmistakable with his long, curly handlebar), one of two master barbers in the shave parlor, where hot lather, steamed towels, and straight razors are all a matter of course.
