Greenwich Letterpress
An old-fashioned valentine of a store, Greenwich Letterpress has wooden shelves overflowing with brightly colored imported paper and boxed cards. After growing up in a family of printers, sisters Beth and Amy Salvini, who were working as graphic designers and artists, returned to their roots to open this delightful shop. Using two 75-year-old letterpresses, they create hand-embossed cards, stationery, and invitations; the combination of the centuries-old letterpress technique with witty, modern graphics makes these paper goods—both custom-made and prepackaged—so sought-after.
Tip: Production time is two to four weeks, but anyone can place custom orders; the shop ships business cards (which start at about $320)—or any other cards—anywhere in the world.
