Español Andando

Buenos Aires, Argentina
TEL: 54-11-5278-9886

One of the dullest aspects of learning a new language is that it’s often presented as dry grammar in a classroom, shorn of all relationship to reality. Paula Capodistria Wangberg’s Español Andando—Walking Spanish—solves this problem by taking it to the streets. Over three afternoons and one lunch, a half dozen beginning Spanish students combine sightseeing and learning by meeting in the San Telmo, Palermo, Recoleta, Retiro, and Congreso neighborhoods. There they learn Spanish in real-life situations, interpreting the newspaper, finding tickets at the train station, and hitting the supermarket.

Insider Tip: Wear comfortable shoes because the classes cover some serious distance.
