Not far from Hockeytown Café, this sleek martini bar caters to an entirely different clientele, more akin to SoHo than the heartland. The first and mezzanine floors are full of intimate nooks, especially the mezzanine, whose curving couches hug the wall. The second floor is more of a traditional upscale lounge, with pool tables, big-screen TV’s, and bigger crowds. Business types and well-to-do singles line the long black bars to select among Centaur’s 22 types of martinis, including the “Flirt” (with raspberry vodka and champagne) and the spicy Asian-flavored “Wasabi.”

Tip: The menu doesn’t go deeper than appetizers, but caviar, tenderloin brochettes, and other tapas-size choices are delectable.
