Butterfly & Nature Conservatory

A popular area activity, the Butterfly & Nature Conservatory has more than 50 species of butterflies and 20 species of exotic birds all housed under the glass dome greenhouse. Filled with lots of flowers and tropical plants, the building has a weather system manufactured to simulate a tropical climate, keeping everything healthy. Waterfalls and Koi fish also help keep the humidity at optimal levels in the garden. The adjacent large Victorian building is home to a learning center with a live caterpillar display, gift shop, and gallery that has original artwork like shadow boxes showcasing preserved butterflies.
