The creative vision of Icelandic designer Birna Karen Einarsdottir is on display at Birna, a women's clothing boutique on Istedgade, the main artery of the hip Vesterbro district. Einarsdottir's production workshop is just blocks away from the small white-walled boutique with streamlined light fixtures, black decorative accents, and minimalist clothing racks mounted to the walls. The designer's collections emphasize strong, solid, dark colors and geometric prints. Dresses, jackets, scarves, sweaters, and boots, all of which are street-smart but practical, make up the bulk of the stylish wares. The store also stocks accessories by other designers, hand-picked by Birna.
