Run by a group of Playa del Carmen adventurers dedicated to sustainable tourism, this company works with Mayan communities to preserve their heritage. Get to know a remote village on the daylong “Maya Encounter” excursion, which kicks off with participants swooshing through the jungle on a zip line, rappelling into a cenote, and kayaking on a lagoon. After elders bestow a copal-incense blessing, village women serve lunch; the journey’s capped off with a trip to Cobá (see Do).
