Entering this six-floor, boho-luxury emporium transports you straight into a gypsy king's lair. The ceiling drips with chandeliers in every imaginable style, illuminating a vast room filled with Asian armoires and pine tables stacked and stuffed with enough silk pillows for a harem, bottles fit for a genie, and tapestries worthy of an ancient camel trader, all arranged in perfect haphazard fashion. Work your way up to the modern furniture boutiques (including Mitchell Gold+Bob Williams, Theodore Alexander, and Ercole), fine linens, and antique rugs (modern rugs are in a building across the street). An electronics area and three restaurants round out the experience.
Tip: For ABC bargains, you'll need to head to the Outlet Warehouse in the Bronx (1055 Bronx River Avenue; (718)842-8772). Don't expect the service, ambience, or high prices found at the flagship.

I have literally wandered though here for hours, playing Goldilocks with the chairs and dreaming of the day when I might be able to afford this wandrous stuff. Once, I saw Susan Sarandon in the elevator.
